Last Roses - Eight of 30 in 30

Last Roses, 8 x 6, oil on panel, L. Daniel © 2015
#8 in 30 Day Challenge
SOLD

These Knockout Roses were still blooming in my garden today so I decided to rescue a few and paint them before it's too late. I'm pretty sure the rest will all be brown very soon. We are having our coldest weather of the season so far, and the temps are dropping down to freezing. I know that is nothing for some of you hearty northerners, but it's pretty chilly for us down here in Texas!

Hi Laurel,

Sorry about the cold, but you are
right. At those temperatures the boys here would walk around in T-shirts and shorts and start
playing basketball in the street!

Beautiful painting.

XOXOXOXOXO Barbara
