Lily Dance

Lily Dance, L. Daniel, 6 x 8, SOLD

This group of dancing lilies absolutely sparkled in the morning sunlight. They were a little parade-like, I thought, all decked out as they were. This would be another in a series that I could entitle, "Other People's Gardens"...  a favorite subject of mine. :)

This is wonderful Laurel - the values are just perfect and they really do look like they are dancing!

Hi Laurel,

I love your lilies. I wish you'd head up to my backyard -- the lilies are out now, but soon over.

That's a good one, other people's gardens. Are you implying that your garden is less than par, :). If so just blame it on the drought lol.

I checked your paintings out at the Buchanan Gallery in Galveston and there really nice looking. I met with Blair Currin an amazing artist just like yourself. Really cool guy. Let me know if your coming down this way maybe I can swing by for a chat.

Lovely and so appropriately titled. Everything in the painting seems to be dancing. The subtle purple grey in the house behind is perfect.

Love this painting! I love the composition of the darks and lights, and the neutrals and orange of the lilies.
