Quiet Pond - Georgia Coast

Quiet Pond, 8 x 6, oil on panel, L. Daniel © 2015
SOLD

"Beware the Alligator" is what this title should really be! The whole time I was painting, a local alligator was swimming back and forth in this pond (his home), keeping a close watch. I think we made a non-verbal commitment to each other stay put and not venture past territorial lines. This was not hard for me. I had no intention of getting any where near the boundaries of his comfort zone. Believe it or not, I was actually able to forget he was out there, and I was safe for another day of painting. :)

Beautiful atmosphere and do hard to well with all those greens! The series has been lovely. I'm painting walls at the momentoa:)

Gorgeous work, I'm a bit behind Laurel. What a feast for the eyes.
I'm glad the alligator didn't get to feast on you. Have you read "The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles" Wonderful too. And funny.
