Lake Light

Lake Light, L. Daniel, 6 x 8, SOLD

Light reflecting on the lake has a special quality all its own. This particular morning was especially still and the light absolutely shimmered off the shore. This peninsula marks the opening to the cove across from Westlake Beach on Lake Austin.

This painting is so lovely. Love reading your copy about the location and the time of day.

Just love your muted tones. What a special place. This painting is scrumptious! Love your water paintings.

As usual, an incredible job. Amazing how you managed blue and yellow in the sky with minimal green. Fantastic!

Masterly observation and use of color. I can feel the temperature, humidity degree and hear that particular silence at that time of a summerday.

I just discovered you through Carol Marine's links. I'm very impressed with your work. As a fan of the simple statement, I love it when an artist says what he(she) has to say with minimal information. You do it very well. I'll be watching your work!

Nice, is this backlighting? I like backlighting and trying to get color into it. I don't remember too much about Lake Austin, but Lake travis has a ton of scenery, lots of steep roads next to beutiful houses outlooking the Lake. I wish I was there.
