The Road Goes On Forever

The Road Goes On Forever, 5 x 7, SOLD

For the next two weeks I will be on a painting trip in Georgia. While I am out of pocket, I will be posting a series of small paintings based on images from the road. These are painted from photos taken on my travels of places I wanted to stop and paint, but couldn't (for one reason or another.) This is the first of that little collection - a country road in Fredericksberg, Texas.

Hi Laurel,

I love road paintings. They make me want to get in the care and drive.
Lovely colour in this one.

Hi Laurel,

Typo -- get in the car and drive.
(I was thinking of an enjoyable
argument I've been having about cars).

So that's where you are! You snuck off and left us. Well, now at least we can look forward to seeing the rest of your trip. Thus far, it looks fabulous.

Thanks Barbara!!! I love to get in the car and drive and stop and drive... too fun.

Stephen, Thanks for your comment, it's great to be missed. :) BUT correction - I did these little road paintings ahead of time (from photos of places I DIDN'T get to paint in person). I got them all ready to post so I can keep posting and not have to worry about photographing and formatting new work while I am travelling. I'll post the Georgia plein air work when I return.
