Bright Lights - Congress Avenue, 18 x 18, oil on panel, L. Daniel © 2013
SOLD
These are the bright lights of downtown Austin on a drippy wet evening. Our Texas State Capitol building is stunning in any weather (you know it's taller than the U.S. Capitol in Washington DC, don't you?) This piece is one of several that I painted for the upcoming "No Place Like Home" exhibit at the Davis Gallery. The opening reception is this Saturday... please come by if you are in town!

This is gorgeous. You are one proud citizen. I wish I could be at your opening. You so totally rock!
I recognized this one. Love being at Austin. The last time I was there was after Ike hit the coast. Nice painting Laurel, love the lights, totally awesome. Might try something like that here in Houston some day. It needs a little VW Bus with it's bitty lights and a binker stuck on the on position lol.
