Heaven Kissed

Heaven Kissed, 6 x 8, oil on panel, L. Daniel © 2012, SOLD

More wildflowers filling my days... oh, so lovely. The window of time for these colorful masses is short so I am trying to enjoy them as much as I can. This hillside looks like many along the highways in these parts (Lady Bird Johnson left her inimitable mark). I am particularly stunned by the sections the have dark cedar trees as a backdrop.

Beautiful composition. I love your subtle colors in the flowers.

This is such a jewel. We are lucky here is Texas to see such splendor right along our roadsides. Only you could make a highway look so gorgeous on a little 6x8 piece of board.

Nice Laurel. I can't wait to get to Michigan to paint some wild flowers too.

I was in Austin last week and didn't have my paints! So my thinking was I would just watch your blog and nab a painting of the wildflowers that you would most likely be painting! Guess I'm just not fast enough...I've missed the last 3. I'll keep watching and maybe get lucky. These are all great renditions of the beauty along the roads and freeways right now :)
