Beach Shop

Beach Shop, L. Daniel, 16 x 12

This little house turned shop is called "Potters on Cotter" and, you guessed it, the owners sell beautiful,  hand-thrown pottery. I love the way the morning sun lights up the front of the store - it's a very welcoming little spot just a few blocks from the beach. Another one from my trip to the Texas coast.

This is such a beauty. I've just been staring, at the dashes of pink on the palms, at the blue at the top of the sky, at the easy way you show the palm leaves, and of course at the building.

Wonderful.

Gorgeous light Laurel, and I love the loose brushstrokes you've used to paint the tops of the palms. I can see them moving in the wind.

It's striking how the vertical trees pick up the pink light from the building!Beautifully done!

The way you captured the morning light on the building and in the sky is gorgeous. Trees are delightful too!! So tropical and inviting.

This is really lovely! The colors grab you. Well done!! I've been working on some paintings of old buildings and cottages on an island in North Carolina. Aren't they fun?
