Canyon Road, 12 x 12Last weekend I went to the Canyon of the Eagles Park for a women's retreat with my church. I had heard it was a beautiful drive out there and a great location, so I packed my bags with easel and brushes, and painted my way there. A new road always offers up unplanned gifts; and spontaneous stops are so much fun.

ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Rahina, I did make it to my destination after only a couple of long stops. But that is what leaving early is for! This painting took about 2 hours.

I am very good at having good intentions but it's hard to actually set up on the side of the road and paint for me. How long did this take you? It's beautiful and you've inspired me to get outside and paint! thank you for sharing. Oh, I wish you would write more about your plein air painting adventures!
