I had great plans for posting every day this week and then my days got hijacked. The unexpected happens and suddenly, it's already Thursday! But enough about that, here we are back at the Wildflower Center. On the Eastern side, the trails lead through a flatter, lower terrain. And you guessed it, wildflowers abound! Happy spring!
Laurel, this is lovely. Will you please publish a book of your paintings? I seem to love everything you do. I like the soft colors and neutrals in this one. And you do always "give each tree its gesture."
I love the movement in this one. The picture feels breezy and the loose rendition of the sky adds to the effect...and then the soft touches of distant sky on the horizon reflect the flower colors. (Was it thought of ahead, or a spontaneous addition that just fit perfectly!) I agree with the book idea. It would be great to see them all in one place!
Your work never ceases to amaze me!
ReplyDeleteHi Laurel,
ReplyDeleteYou're right this month seems to be whirring by. This is beautiful.
Another perfectly sublime painting.
XOXOBarbara
You do such great trees. I love how this one is not straight-up-and-down boring, but rather has some life of its own.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful paintings.... I'm glad that you could get back to the wildflowers so that you could share their grace with all of us!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fluid composition, which reflects your paint application so well!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when the days get away...so easy for that to happen!
