Misty Coastline - Hawaii

Misty Coastline, 8 x 6, oil on panel, L. Daniel © 2013

Even foggy, voggy days in the Hawaiian islands capture the imagination. The mist settles in and adds a quieting layer in the atmosphere. On this morning, it grayed everything out to a lovely soft pink.

The softness is so amazing. Gives the scene a soothing feel.

Amazing, Laurel. You so effortlessly captured the breeze flowing through those palms, and the atmosphere, as usual, is made tangible. LOVE it.

Great work! I'm over here in Maui and it was a very grey day. I'll paint tomorrow...

Really love the soft atmospheric quality in your Hawaii paintings! Palm trees are my favorites and you capture them so well. Is that panel holder in the photo a few posts back from openboxm.com? Can you recommend what you use and at what size? Congratulations on a successful show!
