Snowy Path

Snowy Path, L. Daniel, 6 x 8

This is another painting from our snow day on Friday. It was so fun to observe our transformed scenery. My Canadian friend commented on the oddity of seeing green leaves sticking up out of the snow. In the North, the landscape is mostly neutral all winter; but here so much stays green year 'round. However, it's all a distant memory now as we are completely back to our warm winter temps! You know what they say, "if you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait a day!"

I love the hint of colour - reminds you that this cold snow won't be around forever! :)

It is pretty...
We get snow maybe once every 10 or 15 years where I live... But we can drive to it.

Very nice painting!

Hi Laurel,

I'm glad you captured the exciting contrast while it lasted. Here this would be an April nightmare -- as in snow after the leaves start emerging in April. Not good. Lucky you back to warm normal. By the way they say the same thing about the weather in the Maritimes, and it's really true there too.

XOXOXOXOXOBarbara
